The Trip: A relaxed paddle along the lovely forest-clad shores of Paterson Inlet, enjoying the sounds and sights of nature in this beautiful place. Combos with water taxi can be arranged.
It’s an ideal introduction to the wonderful world of sea kayaking and a lovely way to enjoy Stewart Island. I operate throughout the year but only when weather is settled with light winds.
Me: An active retiree who has known and loved Stewart Island all his life. I’m accredited with NZOIA as a Sea Kayak Leader.
My boats: Mostly Delta Sea Kayaks - stable and easy to manage but fast and fun to paddle.
For you? Suitable for active, reasonably agile people, teen or older. Previous kayaking experience is not needed. You MUST be able to swim!
Clothing: I will advise when you make your booking, I will lend buoyancy aids, paddle jackets and can lend you other items as necessary.
Indicative Price: $90 per person for 2 hours on the water.
